My Thanksgiving Testimony
My testimony in front of a full crowded congregations goes like this :......
For what I was in, I would say 5 stitches on the leg, hand and body bruising was very minimal. I questioned what would have happened if the airbags malfunctioned that day. I'm sure my face would have banged the sterring wheel causing injury to my face. The amazing thing about this is that my car window did not even have a scratch on it.
That night after doing my police report and towing my 26 day old car back to Proton showroom - along Kesas highwar, I asked God while thanking Him for rescuing me "Why Lord did I shout Praise you Jesus, Praise you Lord instead of Save me Jesus, Save me Lord. I just dont understand this Lord". As I was praying later I got this verse, Psalms 34 vs 1 : I will extol the Lord at all times, His praise will always be on my lips". I know God has a purpose for me and it's not been the same since after the accident for me. But I truly trust and know He is going to work something big out of all this for me.
Before I end I just want to thank once again our Loving Gracious Heavenly Father Jesus Christ for allowing me to stand here today. Thank you also Vincent anne and family for constantly making sure I was okay and ensuring no one cheated us on that day with the reporting and car towing issues. I thank both of our pastors and church memebers who have been keeping me in your prayers and also all those who visited.
One lession all of us can learn from my ordeal is that to be "berhati-hati di jalanraya" and a big note to myself - EXTRA berhati-hati di jalanraya. Thank You

Thank You All for Being Great
So the past few weeks have been a roller coaster. It was definitely too much for me to handle - the rough ride from work, home and to my personal life. I just have too many stories to write but as usual TIME is my no exceptional excuse. It’s just so weird to even analyze myself that past few weeks as I have been labeled cold, annoying and a hard headed log to be around with compared to my usual bubbly, joking, and optimistic nature. But thank God that in every rough situation He always show’s us a door to break out from whatever nut we are in.
So last week after all the drama hitting my soul, I got some time off as doctor declared me “temporary insane” for two days. He took that two days to calm me or I’ll rather say pacify me. Was just home relaxing and for the first time not missing office, I messaged my colleague to ask him how was the potluck gathering going on as the office were celebrating our 5S certification victory. Well I did not miss office but I did message my colleague was weird I KNOW but I just had to know what everyone was having as I was on a very strict diet!! (I was!!!) His immediate reaction was “you nonsense women!! We are all here celebrating you and you are on mc!!! Great!!!”. One minute I was puzzled as to why are my office mate celebrating me when it was after all joined effort. And then my colleague – Ken said that Aida (another colleague) actually got me something which he wasn’t going to mention. Being very curious as my name CAT, I kept guessing as to what the surprise could be and Ken just denied through.
Anyway the CAT was no more curious when Wahida (another colleague) actually MMS’ed me a picture of what was it I missed. I was moved. The mountain in me just crushed. Below was my surprise.
I was truly speechless at my parents were really proud to know that I was at least appreaciated. I came back to office thanking everyone for their thoughts but still I feel it's not enough. So here's thanking everyone again.Thank you EJ, Aida, Noli, Shiza, Weed, Noami, Marlina, Zul, Ken and the other boyzzzz (who may not know anything about this) hahahah. It's so typical sometimes that only women do things like this as this is why we are better than them in COMMUNICATIONS :) heheheheheh
Having come back now to office now after being pacified, I feel the difference around me as Ken and the rest say "THank GOD!! U R back and good after seeing that DR or we would have KILLED U!!!" heheheh. That's how annoying and irritating I was.
Just weird, I never saw myself like that.... I saw me being a lot more patience and quiet.... and now I hear ..............."MY ASSS!!!!" hahahahaha. Good to be back to myself and I'm sure a loads of you don't understand what the freak am I rumbling here and to you, just a note... I'm Back to Blogging!!!!!!!
Love ya!!!!!

Specially Dedicated to u Seb :)
The lyrics to Hate that I love you so (Rihanna).
That’s how much I love you
That’s how much I need you
And I can’t stand ya
Must everything you do make me wanna smile
Can I not like it for awhile
No.. but you won’t let me
You upset me girl, then you kiss my lips
All of a sudden I forget that I was upset
Can’t remember what you did
Well I hate it
You know exactly what to do
So that I can’t stay mad at you
For too long, that’s wrong
Girl, I hate it
You know exactly how to touch
So that I don’t wanna fuss and fight no more
So I despise that I adore you
And I hate how much I love you boy
I can’t stand how much I need you
And I hate how much I love you boy
But I just can’t let you go
And I hate that I love you so..
And you completely know the power that you have
The only one that makes me laugh
Sad and it’s not fair how you take advantage of the fact that I
Love you beyond the reason why
And it just ain’t right
And I hate how much I love you girl
I can’t stand how much I need you
And I hate how much I love you girl
But I just can’t let you go
And I hate that I love you so
(I know the chords here aren't bang on right, but they do work)
One of these days maybe your magic won’t affect me
And your kiss won’t make me weak
But no one in this world knows me the way you know me
So you’ll probably always have a spell on me
That’s how much I love you
How much I need you
That’s how much I need you
That’s how much I love you
That’s how much I need you
And I hate that I love you so--
And I hate how much I love you boy
I can’t stand how much I need you
And I hate how much I love you boy
But I just can’t let you go
And I hate that I love you so
And I hate that I love you so.. so..

BLOCK AKKA DAY
Some people love suspense and thrill. They just hate to be told what’s forecasted in advance. As for me personally, I’m just generally impatient. I love to know everything that’s happening. Call me Ms.Nosy pot and I’ll still have a thick skin to just smile it through or even give you back a comment to only show I’m not bruised by what’s been said! Though I think there are times I love the suspense and thrill (only if it has something to move me emotionally) but AMERICAN IDOL!!! I doubt there is any risk involved here, whether I know the results in advance before watching it live or reading the remarks and results online before watching it on TV.
Initially I’ll admit I wasn’t a fan of American Idol, but since the last season I’ll say I’ve been one among the many who has this huge crush on American’s Top Talent Show’s Meanest’s Judge – Mr. Simon Cowell. The more sadness this year to watch Idol since my darling is engaged and also the fact it’s his last season. But that’s not what I wanted to blog about… Anyway sometimes I do read the comments and the show results online before watching them live on Astro. This is because with my work and time I can only manage to see the reruns on weekends. So to keep myself updated sometimes I read it online and sometimes I am forced to read it online – thanks to my best friend Jennifer. Though Jenny’s (as I call her in short) has been warned never to tell me the results before hand, she never listens. She in fact has become more creative these days as she just comes online and says “Hi, so and so is out. And I beat you to it… ok byeeeeeeee” and signs off. As annoying as she is at that point (because I rather read it online first), she’s my best friend and no way will I hold her for just this small thing.
So last week we had the top 9 performance, and as usual Thursday –results day came and Jenny as usual came online and told me the shocking news that "Michael Lynche (picture below) out but saved by judges". My heart just started beating fast because I could not believe he would be in the bottom 3 even as he was so good.

Being emotional and surprised about this whole thing I turned to my cousin sister and asked her to guess about the whole bottom 3 and she was a little surprised too. But I was happy end of the day that he was saved unlike my cousin sister who went on saying questioning why did the judges use their one save so fast. But anyway it has already been done which means this week 2 will be going home.
Right after lunch, Janet – my cousin, asked me to ask her brother – which is my cousin brother if he knows the results. Below is the conversation between me and Joshy my cousin.
Me : joshy, do u follow American Idol?
Joshy : no i dont!!! anyway i just told janet, please dont spoil the suspense...
Me : she is an idiot
Joshy : lolz..
Me: Janet told me “akka, u ask my brother n see.... he want to know the results or not?”
To keep him in suprise and in suspence, I told Joshy that "beware of the biggest suprise of your life with the resutls... the best women leaves". So night came and he went home and saw the show and indeed was conned by me as no one left last week. Janet then told her brother, "so how was akka's suprise?". Joshy answered, "this akka is going to get it from me. From next week on I'm blocking her from my list so she does not do this again". I had a good laugh getting updates from cousin Janet on this the next day.
Anyway today the top 9 performs again and tomorrow is Thursday - back to results show. To irritate Joshy again I wrote to him :
Me : Joshy don’t forget to keep your phone on tomorrow
Joshy : hahaha akka don’t forget tomorrow I’m blocking CathyRani
Me : no point as I’ll be on half day and I’ll just sms you
Joshy: no... I can see from the message la akka. I can choose not to open. Why are u being so evil.... Cant u just let the info be with u!!
Hahahah I guess I can but I don't want too. It's so nice sometimes knowing that you are trying to irritate the one you love but being in self denial that actually they are not irritated but more of playing the game you started... Guess that's just me and my cousins... full of love. ahahahah. No matter what said and done, end of the day we are still family and we can't show faces for too long. So Joshy I love you da my God brother no matter what and so my God sister Janet.
Haiiiiiiii Simon.... sorry I can't love you anymore as your heart belongs to someone else....... sad sad sad. I just hope whoever is in to win American Idol, really deserves it.
All the best to the top 9 again and may the genuine below 2 be the ones who really deserve to be out of the competition.....
And so as my header as said it, tomorrow to my cousin Joshy is "Block akka day" hrmm at least till he sees the results himself!!! hahahah
GOd Bless

Drama, Drama, Drama with a Twist
I was hoping for a very lazy Saturday-weekend till my mother woke me up at 7am giving me errands to do as she and my dad were going out. Among the errands were to wash clothes and also to cook chicken curry. I love to cook but sometimes it becomes a burden especially when you are hoping for a lazy weekend. So I got my ass to work and by 11am I was done with everything. Parents came back at almost 1pm and I was just lazing in front of the TV watching a movie on Astro. At about 2.30pm I got tired and moved to my brother’s room to have a nap with the air-conditioner (my brother’s room is the only one with an air-conditioner amongst the siblings). When I got to his room surprisingly I was not sleepy, so instead I was surfing with my laptop and chatting with friends via msn.
It must have been about 3pm that suddenly I saw a shadow pass my brother’s windows. I did hear footsteps of someone running fast. At that point I just called “amma?” (mum in tamil) just to see if my mum was out there but I did not hear anything. All of a sudden I was shocked to see some shadow in red shirt pulling my brother’s grill netting and I panicked started calling my mother while running out of my brother’s room. That instant I called my mother saying “Amma someone at the back of the house” and just within seconds I heard my mother yelling “pencuri, pencuri” (as in THIEF). One moment there I was confused if I should run back to the room and shut myself and make a call to the police or did the thieves manage to come in or are they out of the house. Just then I saw my mother running to the hall continue her panic scream with a spatula in her hand. I couldn’t believe I saw the guy just jump over my gate entering our neighbor’s house. Just then my dad and I walked behind the house to see where the two thieves came in from and we found slippers and a hat and that’s when I called 999 to call the police.
The 999 hotline was very effective I would say and they better had been at that point of time but the local police station receptionist they connected me too was not as friendly or customer oriented. All I asked was “may I know who’s on the line please” in order to address the person on the other line but the reply I got was “WHO ARE U!!!?” and I felt the tone was rather rude. So I explained what had happened and 2 police guys came over within 15 minutes. They inspected my house and then asked me if the guys were immigrants but I just replied it’s difficult to say as I saw only the hands from the back and they were fair. The only description I could give was a guy in Red T, fair looking like my mother, blue jeans and one below 35 years old. Just then the policemen told me to go over to the police station to log in my report and asked me to bring the slippers as evidence when reporting. I was like “HUH?”. One minute there my hopes of CSI just crashed. All kind of stupid serial questions in my head such as “me take slippers would that not be tampering of evidence as the guy’s finger prints will be overwritten by mine?”. I was also afraid that if I did not make a report then perhaps the thieves will come back at night to collect their slippers and hat. Just too much happening in my head at that point but I was glad my mother was fine both physically and emotionally.
Just as I was walking towards my room, something just dragged my feet back to the so called criminal scene and to my surprise I saw a guy using a stick to grab the so called robber’s slippers. I opened the sliding glass window and asked me “ye, ada apa apa?” (how may I help you) and he said that those slippers were his. When I asked him whose slippers was the other and he said it was his friends and so was the hat. Apparently the story was, as described by the so called robber’s boss that A saw a snake and was looking for a stick. Looking at A’s reaction rather puzzled, B assumed it was policeman as they were workers without work permits, he jumped over my fence to escape the patrol police that was paroling around my neighborhood. Looking at B fly, A decided to join in the race and at the end of the day who becomes the victims? – My mum and I!!
Looking back at what had happened people say I caused the chaotic drama when I could have stayed calm as nothing was stolen and the guys were just harmless passer bys but to me, I question in my head, if I had not screamed would it still be a story of a passing by man? Something to think about. Though I laugh at the whole scenario now but still it’s always better to be safe than sorry. So yell away is what I’ll keep on doing!.

Friendship
It's just weird sometimes when you sit and think about life. What's amazing is how things happen when it's almost impossible. I'm talking about my friendship with Dinoop. Well he's an Indian guy from Dubai and works in Australia. I'm an Indian born and bred in Malaysia. We got connected through the cyber world. Now for someone from two different parts of the world, meeting in person would seem really unbelievable. It's almost like a miracle! I must say again, 30 has been a lucky one for me.
Though Dino (as I call him in short) and I had trouble setting up a time to meet initially as his trip was a very short one, I managed to coax him into meeting me at 6.30am on Monday the 21st December. Well coming out eary was no problem for me as he was staying in Grand Season's Jalan Pahang. It was nice to meet him. The minute we met, he smiled and i was like "ahh finally he's here". His first comment about me was "I thought you were way much taller" and I replied with a smile "I am way much taller but just that I don't have heels on today" and he smiled back. We had a cup of coffee and one hour just flew by so fast. I had to make a move to get my ass in the office of course as it was a working day. We did not talk much I would say maybe because I do chat with him often and the fact we were interrupted by a friend of mine whom I happen to bump into at the same time - Kak Ida who's a tourist guide. But it didn't matter as I would still say meeting Dino made my day for that day.
I've known him for 2 years plus now and I must say I could have never met another bubbly, friendly and a decent chap. If you don't know, the cyber world is full of loonies' at times and it can get scary at some point at time. But Dino was the same even when we met in person. He is a good friend. How just so sad that I'm way much older, taller and staying zillions of miles away!! Nevertheless the bond of friendship will be something that I know we will cherish in this lifetime.
So Dino, thank you for the friendship da and hope to see you more in the future. God Bless

WISH LIST
I’ll be 30 this year. I look at 30 as a total new chapter in life and looking back of my 29 years I realized I have so many things that I’ve missed out on. The biggest reason of me missing out the fun stuff is partly of my background (family values and religion) and partly myself (very naughty young time so parents never trust!) (he he), but I’m glad I came out alright.
So now that I’m alright, I’ve lined up some things that I should do by the time I hit 30! Among the things lined up are:
1) travel on my own
2) attend a live concert
3) pick up piano lessons
4) get a permanent boyfriend
5) experience clubbing environment
6) to be excellent in office environment
7) to be closer to God
8) to change some of my traits to be less annoying
Out of that wish list I’ve successfully completed No. 1 only. No.3 is partly on its way I’ll say because I’m playing for church and my choir mistress has been of great help. No.6, 7 and 8 also on its way but how far will it go to becoming 100% is very tentative at this point of time. Anyways … I just have to hope for the best and if not just snowball the pending ones to next year’s New Year’s WISH LIST.
Cheers…

Incident in my Housing Area
I’m sure at home you all do practice safety practices such as to switch off the electrical appliances after using them or even mopping the house at least two days once to avoid the dust. But of course the domestic cleanliness is not recognized as OSHA but more of norm in our lives. Hmm something to ponder on… Anyway, as much safety is important for office and home, having a safe neighborhood is also important. Safe neighborhood cultivates the term family like and also mind peace to carry on with our daily routines.
Gosh! I don’t know why I’m being so formal here when all I wanted to say is that last Sunday an incident took place in my Taman. Two guys in a trailer drove into my housing area. At the first corner the trailer took, it hit an electricity pole. The pole broke into two but lucky the wires didn’t snap. After that, the guys drove straight and tried to make a turn into a narrow road but the side of the trailer hit the walls of the corner house. They two guys fled in panic.
I was driving home from KL when my friend Jessy called to tell me the commotion that was taking place as her house was between the two houses that were affected. When I arrived home (my neighborhood), my parents and I joined the crowd of the “tamanrians” and did our nosy work. Just as the crowd, I took some shots via my N95. So here it is:

Apparently the policemen found drugs and syringes in the trailer. We guessed the drivers must have been high on drugs and was trying to run away from regulators. What a nightmare I will say for the Taman. Looks like the saying “there’s no safer place as your home” is definitely not a true statement to be using these days for anything is possible anywhere.
Anyway that night, the Taman was without electricity till 1am. TNB managed to replace the pole. End of that day I had a good night because Jessy, Joyce and I managed to have dinner in Ali Maju. Well we couldn’t do much at home and decided a drive - which was more practical before we get kissed by the heat and mosquitoes at home! It’s been sometime since we girls met together. While having dinner we bumped into the policeman who was handling the Trailer case of my Taman. He was rather cute I must say… end of the day Jessy was more “gugu-gaga” over him because Raj was a cute man in the uniforms!
No matter what happens… life still goes on….

My First Overseas Trip
From the second I landed, I was just surrounded with the touch of its wind that got me all so in love. Something is just magical and romantic about that place. Even if you are not a traveler, I would suggest you to visit this place with your other half. The ocean is so blue with its crystal clear water are just one of those things one should not miss about.
The best out of my trip I must say will be the Sunset in Tanah Lot. It’s just absolutely breathtaking. Words are just not enough to express what I felt when I was there.
As they say, pictures speak a thousand words and below are just a few shots of me when I was in Bali with my good friend Anu. Hope you are planning your trip after having a glimpse of the pictures below because I know I’m already planning one trip there again somewhere end of next year. I just hope the next time I’ll be there with someone I call my “LOVE”.

COMPACT EXPERIENCE
a) Managed to say THANK YOU to the soul who came up to me saying, “Hey girl, your mum asked me to find you a guy”, only later to be slammed right on my face with a “Can’t you find a guy on your own!!?” From this I learnt never to say THANK YOU to this question in the future. A sister in Christ gave me a valuable lesson as well. She told me to answer the question with a “Please don’t look for me a guy BUT just please pray for me!” I thought this was reasonable enough and I think I will do it!!!
b) Been saving a lot by travelling by bus to work every morning. Forgotten how cute the bus drivers were. Memories go back way back when I was in college and used to take the bus to classes. No doubt that my mother will have my head off for drooling over a bus driver but HEY they are cute and I am just drooling.. Not that I’m going up to them and saying “Ti Amor”!. I’m just admiring and drooling from a distance. If anyone to be blamed here I’d blame God for creating bus drivers who are damn cute!! Ha ha
c) Came back from a great holiday from Bali and still can smell the fresh air and crystal clear ocean! Must find time to blog about that with pictures!!!
d) I managed to watch “The Proposal” with Jenny akka and “The Ugly Truth” all by myself – both movies in two consecutive days and still good about it. Probably I’m feeling good because I still have the money to run my days ha ha ha. But “The Ugly Truth” made me observe a couple in the 50s. I was busy munching on Pop Corn while they were munching on Green Apple. Sooooooooooo Healthy!!! Gosh that was a reality slap on my face to diet! But overall they were so cute together. Hrmm don’t worry I did not spy on the oldies. I did watch the movie entirely! This is just in case some of you who may be thinking “Ooi! You went to watch movie or see Old aunty and uncle being cuddly”!! Oppsieeeeeeeeee too much info there….
e) Did not visit Uncle Aravind and family over the weekend. This is definitely weird as I’m in their house every other day or at least the weekend! Aunty called me on Tuesday wondering where I was, while Uncle who blogs and comments as Aravind in my blog actually wondered if I had gone back to Bali without informing. Ha ha so cute. I know deep inside they miss me. Now I just have to make time and visit them this weekend. The amusing part of it all is that I got to make time just to visit Uncle Aravind and family who actually lives opposite my house!! So far right? He he
f) I saw one young Indian couple. The guy parked his car at the side of the road, crossed the road with his other half (I presume she was his other half as I saw them hugging and kissing) and he waited till the bus moved. I was thinking to myself how cute and romantic….
Wow! Taking the bus has really made me observe the many characters of the environment and the people on it. It has been a beautiful experience. Hopefully this feeling stays for a long time.
It’s truly nice to be blogging about all this though it does not seem like a flow but these are just a few things I thought I should type about for someday when I look back at this post I want to remember… the little little things that has made me smile once upon a time in Cathy’s life!
God Bless you all
Cheers….
