Friendship

It's just weird sometimes when you sit and think about life. What's amazing is how things happen when it's almost impossible. I'm talking about my friendship with Dinoop. Well he's an Indian guy from Dubai and works in Australia. I'm an Indian born and bred in Malaysia. We got connected through the cyber world. Now for someone from two different parts of the world, meeting in person would seem really unbelievable. It's almost like a miracle! I must say again, 30 has been a lucky one for me.

Though Dino (as I call him in short) and I had trouble setting up a time to meet initially as his trip was a very short one, I managed to coax him into meeting me at 6.30am on Monday the 21st December. Well coming out eary was no problem for me as he was staying in Grand Season's Jalan Pahang. It was nice to meet him. The minute we met, he smiled and i was like "ahh finally he's here". His first comment about me was "I thought you were way much taller" and I replied with a smile "I am way much taller but just that I don't have heels on today" and he smiled back. We had a cup of coffee and one hour just flew by so fast. I had to make a move to get my ass in the office of course as it was a working day. We did not talk much I would say maybe because I do chat with him often and the fact we were interrupted by a friend of mine whom I happen to bump into at the same time - Kak Ida who's a tourist guide. But it didn't matter as I would still say meeting Dino made my day for that day.

I've known him for 2 years plus now and I must say I could have never met another bubbly, friendly and a decent chap. If you don't know, the cyber world is full of loonies' at times and it can get scary at some point at time. But Dino was the same even when we met in person. He is a good friend. How just so sad that I'm way much older, taller and staying zillions of miles away!! Nevertheless the bond of friendship will be something that I know we will cherish in this lifetime.

So Dino, thank you for the friendship da and hope to see you more in the future. God Bless

MIA

I've not blogged for some time now simply because i was busy organizing work so i could go to Jerusalem. Yes, I've been to Jerusalem from the 28th of October to the 7th November. I will not deny that the whole trip was tiring and exhausting BUT overall it was worth it. I'm still in the midst of getting myself settled back to reality to give me some time before I blog about my trip.

Anyway my last blog spoke about my excitement of Beyonce's concert. I'll say i'm very disappointed that I could not fulfill my wish list. Yet, looking at the bright side of it all, I'm getting back my RM165 that I can use that money till I get my salary for this month!!!

WISH LIST

In my earlier post I did mention something about a wish list. I did not explain much then because I wanted it to be a post on its own… so here it comes.

I’ll be 30 this year. I look at 30 as a total new chapter in life and looking back of my 29 years I realized I have so many things that I’ve missed out on. The biggest reason of me missing out the fun stuff is partly of my background (family values and religion) and partly myself (very naughty young time so parents never trust!) (he he), but I’m glad I came out alright.

So now that I’m alright, I’ve lined up some things that I should do by the time I hit 30! Among the things lined up are:

1) travel on my own
2) attend a live concert
3) pick up piano lessons
4) get a permanent boyfriend
5) experience clubbing environment
6) to be excellent in office environment
7) to be closer to God
8) to change some of my traits to be less annoying

Out of that wish list I’ve successfully completed No. 1 only. No.3 is partly on its way I’ll say because I’m playing for church and my choir mistress has been of great help. No.6, 7 and 8 also on its way but how far will it go to becoming 100% is very tentative at this point of time. Anyways … I just have to hope for the best and if not just snowball the pending ones to next year’s New Year’s WISH LIST.

Cheers…

Incident in my Housing Area

Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) should not be an alien name to you. OSHA creates standards for health and safety in the workplace. It also investigates businesses to enforce compliance with OSHA regulations, and companies can face fines for non-compliance. OSHA sets safety regulations for equipment, protective clothing and safety gear. It also provides heath standards for workers who handle chemicals, asbestos, blood and other potentially dangerous substances. Now this is for an office environment.

I’m sure at home you all do practice safety practices such as to switch off the electrical appliances after using them or even mopping the house at least two days once to avoid the dust. But of course the domestic cleanliness is not recognized as OSHA but more of norm in our lives. Hmm something to ponder on… Anyway, as much safety is important for office and home, having a safe neighborhood is also important. Safe neighborhood cultivates the term family like and also mind peace to carry on with our daily routines.

Gosh! I don’t know why I’m being so formal here when all I wanted to say is that last Sunday an incident took place in my Taman. Two guys in a trailer drove into my housing area. At the first corner the trailer took, it hit an electricity pole. The pole broke into two but lucky the wires didn’t snap. After that, the guys drove straight and tried to make a turn into a narrow road but the side of the trailer hit the walls of the corner house. They two guys fled in panic.

I was driving home from KL when my friend Jessy called to tell me the commotion that was taking place as her house was between the two houses that were affected. When I arrived home (my neighborhood), my parents and I joined the crowd of the “tamanrians” and did our nosy work. Just as the crowd, I took some shots via my N95. So here it is:

Apparently the policemen found drugs and syringes in the trailer. We guessed the drivers must have been high on drugs and was trying to run away from regulators. What a nightmare I will say for the Taman. Looks like the saying “there’s no safer place as your home” is definitely not a true statement to be using these days for anything is possible anywhere.

Anyway that night, the Taman was without electricity till 1am. TNB managed to replace the pole. End of that day I had a good night because Jessy, Joyce and I managed to have dinner in Ali Maju. Well we couldn’t do much at home and decided a drive - which was more practical before we get kissed by the heat and mosquitoes at home! It’s been sometime since we girls met together. While having dinner we bumped into the policeman who was handling the Trailer case of my Taman. He was rather cute I must say… end of the day Jessy was more “gugu-gaga” over him because Raj was a cute man in the uniforms!

No matter what happens… life still goes on….

My First Overseas Trip

I just had to blog about my trip to Bali. It was definitely an adventure for me because it was my first trip to another country without my parents and 100% self sponsored!! It is just amazing how God has been fulfilling my wish list. In my wish list traveling was indeed one of it. Anyway something about Bali that I can’t just describe.

From the second I landed, I was just surrounded with the touch of its wind that got me all so in love. Something is just magical and romantic about that place. Even if you are not a traveler, I would suggest you to visit this place with your other half. The ocean is so blue with its crystal clear water are just one of those things one should not miss about.

The best out of my trip I must say will be the Sunset in Tanah Lot. It’s just absolutely breathtaking. Words are just not enough to express what I felt when I was there.

As they say, pictures speak a thousand words and below are just a few shots of me when I was in Bali with my good friend Anu. Hope you are planning your trip after having a glimpse of the pictures below because I know I’m already planning one trip there again somewhere end of next year. I just hope the next time I’ll be there with someone I call my “LOVE”.

COMPACT EXPERIENCE

Hello there! The last two weeks I must say has been all interesting, exciting and new for me. Among the things that I’ve been passing by are as follows:

a) Managed to say THANK YOU to the soul who came up to me saying, “Hey girl, your mum asked me to find you a guy”, only later to be slammed right on my face with a “Can’t you find a guy on your own!!?” From this I learnt never to say THANK YOU to this question in the future. A sister in Christ gave me a valuable lesson as well. She told me to answer the question with a “Please don’t look for me a guy BUT just please pray for me!” I thought this was reasonable enough and I think I will do it!!!

b) Been saving a lot by travelling by bus to work every morning. Forgotten how cute the bus drivers were. Memories go back way back when I was in college and used to take the bus to classes. No doubt that my mother will have my head off for drooling over a bus driver but HEY they are cute and I am just drooling.. Not that I’m going up to them and saying “Ti Amor”!. I’m just admiring and drooling from a distance. If anyone to be blamed here I’d blame God for creating bus drivers who are damn cute!! Ha ha

c) Came back from a great holiday from Bali and still can smell the fresh air and crystal clear ocean! Must find time to blog about that with pictures!!!

d) I managed to watch “The Proposal” with Jenny akka and “The Ugly Truth” all by myself – both movies in two consecutive days and still good about it. Probably I’m feeling good because I still have the money to run my days ha ha ha. But “The Ugly Truth” made me observe a couple in the 50s. I was busy munching on Pop Corn while they were munching on Green Apple. Sooooooooooo Healthy!!! Gosh that was a reality slap on my face to diet! But overall they were so cute together. Hrmm don’t worry I did not spy on the oldies. I did watch the movie entirely! This is just in case some of you who may be thinking “Ooi! You went to watch movie or see Old aunty and uncle being cuddly”!! Oppsieeeeeeeeee too much info there….

e) Did not visit Uncle Aravind and family over the weekend. This is definitely weird as I’m in their house every other day or at least the weekend! Aunty called me on Tuesday wondering where I was, while Uncle who blogs and comments as Aravind in my blog actually wondered if I had gone back to Bali without informing. Ha ha so cute. I know deep inside they miss me. Now I just have to make time and visit them this weekend. The amusing part of it all is that I got to make time just to visit Uncle Aravind and family who actually lives opposite my house!! So far right? He he

f) I saw one young Indian couple. The guy parked his car at the side of the road, crossed the road with his other half (I presume she was his other half as I saw them hugging and kissing) and he waited till the bus moved. I was thinking to myself how cute and romantic….

Wow! Taking the bus has really made me observe the many characters of the environment and the people on it. It has been a beautiful experience. Hopefully this feeling stays for a long time.

It’s truly nice to be blogging about all this though it does not seem like a flow but these are just a few things I thought I should type about for someday when I look back at this post I want to remember… the little little things that has made me smile once upon a time in Cathy’s life!

God Bless you all

Cheers….
